Divine Omnipotence as the Foundation of True Faith
Based on reflections presented in the material “ link txt” (page 10), the sense of God’s omnipotence in the heart convinces the believer that nothing exists outside the sphere of God’s influence. It is stated:
"When when we feel the omnipotence of God in our heart, all doubt regarding His divine mysteries—which are beyond our understanding—is dispelled. For if God is Almighty, He can do everything that He has revealed and promised. Thus, regarding the resurrection of the dead, our mind may be troubled and unbelieving, but the feeling of God’s omnipotence in our faith strengthens us so that we confidently hope for it, firmly believing that the One who created everything from nothing can, by His power and word, gather and revive the scattered dust of bodies. The One who said ‘and they appeared,’ who commanded ‘and they were created’ (Ps. 148:5)—will also say ‘and all will be done,’ and command and recreate everything that He promised in His Word. Hence, let your Christian soul be assured that nothing is impossible for God. When a person envisions the grandeur of God in their heart, they demean themselves, for if all nations are nothing before God (Isa. 40:17), how much more so is a single person, whether it be you or I."
From this idea it follows that true faith, which awakens the feeling of the Creator’s omnipotence, does not lead one to seek escape routes or alternative paths. On the contrary, it affirms that God, endowed with boundless power, fully encompasses and governs every aspect of existence. Thus, perceiving God’s omnipotence becomes the foundation for the conviction that in the presence of the Almighty Creator, any attempt to find an alternative to His will is doomed to failure.
