Inviolable Tradition: Preserving the Divine Word

Gods (that is, those who transmit the Divine word) adhere exclusively to the fixed teachings set forth in the sacred scriptures, because from the beginning of the world a strict law of invariability for preaching was established. According to this law, every word must be chosen with utmost caution so as not to distort the bright Divine teaching given through the prophets and apostles.

As stated in one of the sources, "We preach the teaching of our Lord and God and Savior Jesus Christ, of His holy Apostles and the Holy Church, guided by the Spirit of God — and we take every possible care that it remains intact and unblemished in your minds and hearts, carefully examining every thought and word, so as not to cast any shadow on this bright Divine teaching. Otherwise, one cannot act. Such a law for preaching in the Church on behalf of God was established from the beginning of the world and must remain in force until its end. The Holy Prophet Moses, having conveyed God's commandments to the people of Israel, includes: 'Do not add anything to the words which I command you, nor take anything away from it: keep the commandments of the LORD your God, as I command you, and as I have commanded' (Deut. 4:2). This law of invariability is so unalterable that the Lord and our Savior Himself, while teaching the people on the mountain, said: 'Do not think that I came to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I did not come to abolish, but to fulfill...' (Matt. 5:17–18)" (source: link txt).

Another important argument is that the sacred scripture is not perceived merely as a text to be read and quoted, but as the living word of God, sent to man for eternal guidance and the preservation of eternal life. As noted: "The sacred Scripture is God's letter to man. It is the book of eternal life. It is important not merely to read it and, having taken it to heart, to quote it. The sacred Scripture must be embodied..." (source: link txt).

Thus, access to Divine revelation is strictly regulated: it is immutable and must be transmitted precisely in the form in which it was given, so as to preserve the integrity and purity of the teaching. Deviating from the fixed scripture or adding personal interpretations may distort the essence of the Divine Message, which contradicts the established law of invariability of preaching.
