The Inner Quest for the Divine

Religion's role is not simply to "bring out" God as a pre-formed image, but to awaken in the individual the need to search for and establish a connection with the Divine. Religion is meant to guide the inner search that enables a person to recognize their spiritual existence and aspiration toward a higher ideal. As stated in one of the sources, "Man is a spiritual being, and he strives for the spiritual. Every religion is a search for God, and the person seeking God joins a certain path" (source: link txt). This emphasizes that the true role of religion lies in awakening and directing an inner quest for meaning and spiritual communion.

At the same time, it is noted that God is so exalted that man is incapable of discovering Him independently—the search only makes sense when God Himself comes forward to meet His creation. It is expressed as follows: "But God is so high that it turns out He cannot be found until He Himself comes out to meet His creation" (source: link txt). Thus, religion becomes a process in which the internal yearning for the Divine leads a person to experience a meeting with God, provided that God chooses to manifest Himself.

In summary, it can be said that religion does not simply reveal God externally; rather, it compels believers to immerse themselves in an inner spiritual search that ultimately paves the way for genuine communion with the Divine.
