Echoes of Inner Evil
Man often creates problems for those around him, as his inner state, his tendency toward egocentrism, and negative actions have a destructive impact on his relationships with others. For example, when he commits evil, it is not limited to his personal pain or self-destruction—his actions “splash poison” onto those close to him. As it is stated:"By committing any evil, a man not only injects deadly poison into his own heart but also splashes this poison on other people, sometimes even on those dearest to him. In front of strangers, a man usually hesitates to show his darker side; cherishing the opinions others have of him, he always wants everyone to think well of him. However, in the familiar home environment, he reveals his true face and torments his loved ones." This is reflected in the following statement:"All manifestations of evil that we see in human life arise from the fact that a man has distorted his nature. The desire to live not in love, not even in accordance with the law of the Old Testament, but to live entirely egocentrically, leads to evil starting its movement within the social space." (source: link txt)Moreover, when sin takes residence in a man’s heart, he begins to distance himself from those around him, trying to impose his will and unacceptable norms of behavior, which inevitably leads to quarrels, conflicts, and other social problems. As noted:"And only the man in whose heart sin has taken hold separates himself; he wants to step away from people, to detach himself; everyone irritates him, everyone stands in his way. If something doesn’t please him, he strives to redo everything his way—and everyone wants to have things their own way. He doesn’t like that another person lives, dresses, or speaks differently. He wants to make everyone conform, to reinterpret everything, resulting in scandals, fights, quarrels, and even murders."
