Jesus' Mission: Redemption, Transformation, and Eternal Union
The central purpose of Jesus' coming to earth is to provide humanity the opportunity to know the true God and to attain salvation; namely, through His sacrifice and life, the possibility for the redemption of sins and eternal fellowship with the Father was opened up. In other words, the coming of Christ represents a divine mission aimed at enabling a person, through faith in Him, to gain eternal life, to discover that true existence lies in knowing the Son of God, and to transform one’s life in accordance with His word. For example, one text states:"Everyone who knows Jesus Christ thereby knows the Heavenly Father and can enter eternal life... The sole task of man on earth is to know the Son of God, but for this we must believe in Him and confirm this faith through our lives..." (source: link txt).It is also emphasized that God became man for the purpose of achieving a profound transformation: "God became man so that man could become God" (source: link txt). This expresses the idea that through acquaintance with Christ and His teachings, human nature is transformed, giving individuals the opportunity to approach the Divine.Another text indicates that Jesus’ arrival was necessary because human nature is inherently corrupted by sin and, by itself, incapable of salvation: "There has never been a time in history when citizens were content with the state order... Because human nature is perverted by sin, and certainly, man cannot extricate himself from this evil on his own. Therefore, Christ came to earth." (source: link txt). Finally, another source reveals Christ’s mission through the fulfillment of prophetic tasks—redemption, cleansing from sins, liberation from death and the dominion of the devil, as well as reuniting humanity with God:"I. To satisfy eternal righteousness on our behalf... II. To cleanse us from sins... III. To free us from death and the dominion of the devil... IV. To reunite us with God... V. To enlighten our minds, darkened by sin..." (source: link txt). Thus, the purpose of Jesus’ coming to earth is multifaceted: through His life, sacrifice, and teachings, every person is granted the possibility of salvation, transformation, and the establishment of an eternal union with God, as well as the attainment of a true life guided by divine commandments and truth.
