Final Judgment and Resurrection: Jesus' Divine Mission
According to the predictions of His return, Jesus’ mission is to execute the final divine judgment on all nations and to restore life through resurrection. At the Second Coming, He will gather all nations, separating some from others—just as a shepherd separates sheep from goats—and, judging by each individual’s deeds, determine their fate: sending some to eternal life and others to eternal torment. In this way, He serves as both Judge and Resurrector, restoring moral and spiritual order in the universe, concluding the course of history, and deciding the eternal destiny of every person.Supporting citation(s):"Then all the nations will gather before Him; and He will separate some from others, just as a shepherd separates sheep from goats. Then He will judge everyone according to their deeds and send some to eternal torment and others to eternal life." In response, Jesus Christ warned them that before His coming in glory to earth, there would come times so difficult for people... He taught that the world would come to an end, and the earthly life of humankind would cease; then, He would come to earth a second time and resurrect all people (at which time, all people's bodies would be reunited with their souls and brought back to life)."
