Divine Paradox: The Creator and the Dilemmas of Existence

The term “Creator” is understood as the omnipotent source of all that exists—the Maker, through whose power the universe came into being. In one of the sources ( link txt) it is noted that “The Creator, as the Maker of the entire universe, undoubtedly possesses such enormous power that people of flesh and blood should not expect to see God and survive.” This view emphasizes the infinity and transcendence of Divine power.

At the same time, it is precisely this enormous power and the inaccessibility of directly experiencing God that give rise to questions.

For instance, the same document presents the reflection: “If the Creator exists, then why do so many wars, famines, and diseases occur, causing millions to die prematurely?
” ( link txt). For many, this very contradiction—between the notion of an omnipotent, loving Creator and the observed suffering and evil in the world—becomes a source of doubts and inquiries.

Furthermore, another text ( link txt) reveals an intellectual dilemma related to the understanding of concepts such as “creation” and “parentage.” The author wonders how it is possible to regard the concepts indicated by different names as identical if one demonstrates the incorruptibility of God, while the other reflects creative activity—a point that essentially calls into question the very essence of Divine nature.

Thus, the significance of the concept “Creator” lies in that it symbolizes the absolute beginning and the creative force underlying the existence of all things. However, this image—anchored in the idea of an omnipotent and unfathomable Maker—inevitably raises questions among people: how to reconcile the idea of omnipotence with the evident suffering, and how to logically and theologically explain certain aspects of Divine essence and the creative act.

“This invisible cause is God. Moreover, the Creator, as the Maker of the entire universe, undoubtedly possesses such enormous power that people of flesh and blood should not expect to see God and survive... If the Creator exists, then why do so many wars, famines, and diseases occur…” (source: link txt)

“In what way does he consider as identical the concepts denoted by these two names, namely creation and parentage? … So, on what basis is one ascribed to the unborn God that His incorruptibility does not result from an act…” (source: link txt)
