Undefined Appointment Terms in the Diocesan Court
According to the Regulations on the Church Court of the Russian Orthodox Church, the term of office for the judges of the diocesan court is not defined. This is evident from the following excerpt: "Out of four persons in the presbyteral rank, two must be elected by the Diocesan Assembly for a one-year term, while two are appointed by the diocesan hierarch. Their terms of office are not defined. The hierarch appoints the Secretary of the Diocesan Council. His term of office is not defined."
